Comprehensive guidelines for maintaining certification standards and compliance
The certificate applicable to a specific business scope covering product, process, service, site, or organization may be suspended for a limited period (in most cases not exceeding 6 months) under specific conditions outlined below. This procedure ensures compliance with ORIASC certification standards.
Noncompliance with requirements in regular surveillance
Improper use of the certificate
Non-payment of fees as contracted
Voluntary request for suspension
Contravention of certification rules
Delayed surveillance or re-audit
During suspension, clients cannot identify as ORIASC certified for affected products or services.
The Scheme Manager confirms official suspension and outlines conditions for reinstatement.
Post-suspension investigation determines if conditions for reinstatement are met.
All suspension and reinstatement costs are charged to the client.
